AJ Crimson, the celebrity makeup artist and founder of AJ Crimson Beauty, has died. Crimson’s family confirmed his death on March 30 to WWD, although cause of death and Crimson’s age were not disclosed.
AJ Crimson, a self-taught celebrity makeup artist and beauty entrepreneur, has died, according to several reports.
Details surrounding his death are still unclear. His age is also not known, though it’s believed he was in his early 30s.
Reps for his business, AJ Crimson Beauty, didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
According to Essence, Crimson was one of the first makeup artists who understood how to properly enhance the beauty in all shades of women.
He was the founder and CEO of AJ Crimson Beauty, a “line of luxury cosmetic creations that speak directly to women of color.”
Sir John, Beyoncé’s makeup artist, shared a long, emotional message Thursday on Instagram saying that he’s in “disbelief.”
